The bee hummingbird has adapted in different ways some of the ways are adapting to cold water during the night by using torpor. During cold nights, their body temperature, which is normally 41 degrees C, falls to the air temperature around 30 degrees C. This allows them to conserve energy.Another way the hummingbird has adapted is with the beak and long tongue. The beak long and narrow allows the bird to drink nectar from flowers while also allowing it to catch bugs.
