Steps To Building The Birdhouse
Step One: Collect the materials (Wood, Door Hinges,wood glue, nails and other tools)
Step Two: Draw measurements on wood. Walls will be 7x8. Base will be 7x8 and ceiling will be 7x7.Cut out the pieces with saw.
Step Three: Cut out the pieces with saw.
Step Four: Nail the bottom of the wall to the side of the base. Nail four for each side. Repeat for all walls. (Note: A small piece of the base will stick out from the front. Leave it for the birds to stand/rest on)
Step Five: Take a small door hinge and screw one side into the inside of the back wall.
Step Six: Cut a hole that is 2 ½in wide on a piece of wood. This will be the entrance. Screw the ceiling to the other side of the hinge.
Step Seven: Cut out two pieces of wood that are 2x2 in. Cut out a small hole on one side so that the hummingbird can eat seeds through it.
Step Eight : Use another hinge and screw it above the small box. Screw another piece of wood (same measurements) to the hinge.
